Thyme Essential Oil

Thyme oil comes from the perennial herb known as Thymus vulgaris. This herb is a member of the mint family, and it’s used for cooking, mouthwashes, potpourri and aromatherapy. It’s native to southern Europe from the western Mediterranean to southern Italy.

A pale yellow oil, with a spicy herbaceous aroma. Only white thyme should be purchased.

  • Extremely antiseptic
  • Great for treating chillblains and cold extremities
  • Useful in treating muscular aches and pains; gout and arthritis
  • Can also be used in treating respiratory problems such as – asthma, bronchitis, colds, influenza
