Blends for Pain & Sprains

Muscle sprains and pains can cause us quite a bit of discomfort in doing our daily duties, the information below will assist in attending to these.

Ankle or Elbow Sprain
Arm Strain or Finger Sprain
Back Pain Blend
Tennis Elbow
Ankle or Elbow Sprain

Recommended Oils:

  • Clove Essential Oil – 3 drops
  • Ginger Essential Oil – 20 drops
  • Nutmeg Essential Oil – 17 drops
  • Carrier oil of choice – 30-50mls

Method:

Blend the Essential oils and the carrier oil and massage all over the foot and ankle three times a day. 

Arm Strain or Finger Sprain

Causes of these type of injuries are usually contact sports, throwing, weights and dancing.

Ingredients:

  • Black Pepper Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Ginger Essential Oil – 15 drops
  • Nutmeg Essential Oil – 5 drops
  • Carrier Oil – 30ml

Method:

Use ice on the affected area followed by massage of the area with the following blend – use three times a day for two days.

Back Pain Blend

Ingredients:

  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Ginger Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Lavender Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Carrier Oil of choice – 30ml

Method:

Massage into affected area as required, and try to keep the affected area warm.

Tennis Elbow

Ingredients:

  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil – 5 drops
  • Peppermint Essential Oil – 5 drops
  • Ginger Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Rosemary Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Carrier Oil of choice – 30mls

Method:

Blend and apply when needed.
